Henri Lloyd is a British clothing manufacturer established in Manchester in 1963 specialising in clothing for sailing, yachting and golfing. The original Henri Lloyd, Henri Strzelecki, was a soldier in the Polish army before settling in Manchester after the Second World War studying textiles and design before working with local clothing companies. As a keen sailor Henri realised the potential of a technical fabric, Bri-Nylon and pioneered the use of these technical fabrics, closures and safety features within sailing clothing revolutionising the world of sailing.

In 1984 the Henri Lloyd brand became fashionable and their clothing and accessories became an essential fashion accessory for the image savvy men of Europe. Henri Lloyd then worked with Italian designer Olmes Carretti to blend the heritage of British attitude with Italian design sophistication and the collections combined innovative materials, traditional skills and the signature bold use of colour.

Henri Lloyd’s collections now include men’s, women’s and footwear with the brand fusing nautical heritage with catwalk cool. While remaining loyal to its sailing roots the brand now attracts a wider demographic of stylish consumers.
