Adi Dassler started one of the biggest success stories ever. He followed three guide line principles throughout his development work all driven by his huge passion for sport & shoe making; to produce the best shoe to serve the needs to the sport, to protect the athlete from injury and to make the product durable. These were the seeds for the massive success that Adidas is today.

The story began in his mothers washroom, a very small space with no machines and no electricity. Adi Dassler, with two other shoemakers, began producing 100% hand-made leather shoes. Adi convinced his brother Rudolf to join the business from which they register their small business as "Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory".

The rest, as they say, is history and the Adidas Originals collection was introduced to pay homage to some of the best design silhouettes ever produced.
